Our Prosecco Classico is a very fine example of this classic Italian bubbly and the Crémant de Loire from Langlois-Château is one of the best sparkling wines outside of Champagne. The Deutz is a recent addition to our list and for the discerning buyer, represents one of the finest Champagnes at this price point and comes highly recommended. And if you seek a "grande marque", then few of the major brands rival the opulence and refinement of Bollinger, an eternal classic.

A highly acclaimed Champagne that falls below the radar for many consumers in the UK, which is a shame as Deutz offers the consumer something special compared to the ubiquitous brands that dominate the market.
Most of the grand old Champagne houses are based in the town centres of Epérnay or Reims, some way from the vineyards on which their reputations are founded. Whereas Deutz was established in 1838 amidst the vines of Ay-Champagne, one of the greatest grand cru villages of the region.
There has been significant investment at Deutz in recent years, which should ensure that this small, family run estate continues to produce exceptional Champagne in what is a very competitive market.
A classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meurnier in equal measure delivers a beautifully pure and elegant Champagne, with refreshingly lemony aroma, with hints of brioche and well defined mineral quality on the palate and plenty of substance. Great as an aperitif as well with food - particularly good with some sushi the other day!
