Okay, not a cheap wine my any means, but for such a high scoring wine from the renowned critic James Suckling, demonstrates the amazing value to be found from Italy's finest producers. Personally I found the wine more approachable than his note suggests, but there is no doubt this wine will age gracefully for 15 years or more!
"This is absolutely delicious with dried fruits, Christmas cake and light sultanas with some Indian sices. Full body, with soft and silky tannins and a long, long finish. It lasts and lasts. Intense and balanced. Best after 2012". 95 points James Sucling.
