This is one of the most striking vineyards I have ever visited. It is located about 600m up in the Dentelles des Montmirail, which is a familiar feature of the Southern Rhone landscape. There are only a handful of winegrowers crazy enough to produce wine from up here, but for Stephane the potential he senses from this fine location was too good to miss. A blend of old bush vine Grenache (80%) and trellised Syrah (20%), provides a wine that really attacks the senses. It is packed with ripe berry fruits, herbs, roasted peppers and spice.
