Vacqueyras 2006, Le Rif, La Ferme du Mont
A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre from an average of 50 year old vines in a vineyard about 400m above sea level. This exudes charm and the warmth of a ripe vintage like this. Spicy, with ripe blackcurrants and liquorice on the nose; plenty of sweet berry fruits attack the palate before being carried to a fine finish thanks to the velvety tannins. This is a serious wine for Vacqueyras and demonstrates why Stéphane is making such a big names for himself in the Southern Rhone. Reduced from £15.50 to £13.95 for orders placed before 31.05.11.
