Bourgogne Aligote 2009, Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard
The Aligoté grape is often overlooked in the UK as it tends to be overshadowed by the more celebrated Chardonnay's from Burgundy. This is a shame as they represent amazing value for money when made this well. Jean-Jacques Girard is a master when it comes to crafting delicious white wines that are a treat to drink with or without food - this has plenty of citrus fruit, mixed with just the right touch of orchard fruits. Another great wine with plenty of shellfish.
