White Wines

The Little Rascal Arneis 2010, Gisborne, Coopers Creek, New Zealand
The Arneis varietal is a right "little rascal" to produce, so is not that well known outside of its original surroundings of Piedmont in NW Italy. However, it has the potential to make some exciting dry white wines and this is a great example. As you might expect, this style from New Zealand is more aromatic than its Italian counterparts, with a touch of spice and marmalade on the nose and delicious stone fruit character on the palate. For fans of varieties like Gewurztraminer or Viognier, then this is certainly one to try.
