Urban Torrontes 2009, Bodegas Fournier
Produced from 34 year old Torrontes vines in the Cafayete Valley, one of the most Northerly growing regions in Argentina, and an area quickly gaining recognition as one of the most exciting regions to evolve in Argentina. Lovely fragrant nose of white flowers and dried fruits. Light and fruity on the palate with a touch of dried fruit and spice. Reminds me of a Gewurztraminer, although not as intense. Perfect aperitif and works well with spicy dishes.
