    Venue: The Cellar Room under The Old Ship Hotel, King's Road, Brighton
    Date:    Thursday, 29 March 2012
    Time:    7.30 for 8pm start.  Ends around 9.30pm.  Pre-booking essential. 

    It is an amusing irony that many wines from the so called "New World" estates have a history of commercial viticulture that pre-dates some of the leading Old World estates.  Should we refer to England's wine production as Old World for example?  Well that is what this tasting is all about - the emergence of a New New World of Wine.  The ever changing viticultural-map means that we are blessed with many new and exciting wines that have recently arrived in the spotlight.  The aim of this tutored tasting is to focus on some of these new pioneers from Sussex.  There is plenty to choose from and this tasting promises to be full of surprises!  With England very much under the international spotlight in 2012, it seems only right that we should examine the wines from vines on our own doorstep.

    If you like to keep your finger on the pulse with what is new on the grapevine, then come and join us.  Furthermore, please call Karl if you would like to learn more about this tasting or if you have come across any new discoveries yourself that have impressed you - we may include one at this tasting.   Karl will guide you though 7 or 8 wines with accompanying nibbles.  We send out the tasting menus nearer the time to those that have pre-booked and please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
